A Brief Announcement.

Dear Friends and Readers:

I have decided to give myself a sabbatical from my daily postings and wish to thank all of you for your support and good cheer over the past several years.

I am pausing my political blogs for two reasons.

Reason #1. I need time to finish two books which I am currently writing — one is on the impact of the internet, something like a McLuhan-ish treatment of the digital universe if you will. The second book is about the return of wildernes to the American northeast, or what the conservationists call ‘wilding,’ a process with which I strongly disagree.

Reason #2. I just can’t find the energy or the interest to spend time every day talking about what an asshole we have for President. Yesterday Trump actually said that we should remove all the current residents from Gaza and turn it into a lovely, seaside resort. He not only made this remark seriously, but it was reported by the media as something we needed to know.

Sorry, but I just can’t continue to deal with Trump as someone who deserves the slightest bit of public attention at all. I mean, do we really need to be reminded that there’s an election coming up next year?
