A Great Week For Trump.
So, what do you do when you’re running for President and the Dow goes over forty-one thousand, the unemployment rate is under 4 percent, the troops are all sitting around in the barracks, and the price of a gallon of gasoline is back down to where it was two years ago?
It seems to me you have two choices. You can either tell the voters that things will get a lot worse again if the other guy or gal is elected, or you can say that the person you’re running against is unfit to hold a public office, or you can say both.
But what if the person you’re running against accuses you of being even more unfit and can back up their accusation by pointing to the possibility that you’ve been convicted of multiple felonies and may soon find yourself on the way to jail?
It was exactly one month ago, August 5th, that Kamala’s national number caught up to Trump, which was the first time since April that the aggregate national polls on RCP had blue ahead of red.
And by the way, for all the media nonsense about this so-called ‘close’ election, the difference between the national voting numbers in 2020 was a whole, big 4 percent; in 2016 it was 2 percent; and in 2012 it was also 2 percent.
The last time a Republican candidate won the national vote was 2004, when Bush beat Kerry by a whole, big ,095 of one fucking percent…
