Another Candidate for Speaker!

So, there are now 9 men who have announced they are running for Speaker of the House.

I would like to announce one more name — ME! That’s right. Michael R. Weisser, born 8/19/44 at Garfield Hospital in Washington, D.C. I now live in Massachusetts and along with D.C. I have previously lived in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, California, and South Carolina.

I have never been arrested or indicted for any crime.

It goes without saying that I am a citizen of the U.S.A.

I am not a member of the U.S. House of Representatives but guess what? The Constitution doesn’t require that the Speaker of the House be a member of the House. It only requires that anyone who wants to be elected Speaker be nominated by a member of the House.

My residence is located in the 2nd C.D. of Massachusetts and is represented in the House by Jim McGovern. In a couple of days, I will ask him to nominate me to be Speaker of the House. Since he has not announced his own desire to run for Speaker, I’m sure he’ll have no problem nominating me.
