Another National Poll Tells Us Nothing New.

Here we go again. Another national poll is released today from another one of the polling outfits which is considered to be one of the sine qua non polling groups, and it tells us that the election is really close.

This poll was done by Emerson College, and the responses from a thousand people around the country, all so-called ‘likely’ voters, finds Kamala and What’s His Name in a dead heat.

Not only are they tied, but the tie is at 49% each, so there’s not even any hot dog-shit or hot dog-shit with chipped glass votes remaining to be counted.

Early voting has really caught on in many parts of the country. The pic above is of two happy voters who voted today in New York City and told me in their accompanying email that they couldn’t believe how many people showed up at their polling place to vote.

Of course, in Bronx County, where this couple lives, the ‘organization’ as it’s called (i.e., the Bronx Democratic Party) has always subscribed to the maxim ‘vote early, vote often,’ as a way to get things done properly on Election Day.

But what I find interesting about democracy as we practice it in this country, is the fact that a lot of people don’t seem to find engaging in the democratic process to mean anything to them at all.
