Can We Survive Four More Years of Trump?

So, now that the word’s going around that Joe will announce he’s quitting the race this coming weekend, everyone (like me) who can’t stand Trump can begin to think about what Joe’s absence will mean come November 5, 2024.

Either the Democrats will collapse in a complete disarray, and nobody will be able to stop Trump from cleaning the clock against whomever enters the race. or the first polls will show that even Mickey Mouse would have a good chance of beating Trump, in which case maybe Joe’s decision to quit wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

Don’t get me wrong. I think that Joe has been a spectacularly good CEO of the world’s largest corporation, and as far as I’m concerned, I feel nothing but anger and resentment towards the blue team members who are trying to shut the Biden campaign down.

On the other hand, maybe Joe doesn’t need four more years of pretending to be a Fake News media fan, particularly since none of those so-called pundits on MS-NBC or CNN deserve anything more from him except a swift kick in the ass and the back of his hand as well.

But nobody ever said that politics practiced at the national level is a fair, honest or decent game. And since I don’t relish Trump sitting behind the real Resolute desk again with another PR flack promoting the idea of ‘alternate facts,’ I’d be just as…
