Did Trump Plan the January 6th Insurrection?
Carlos Marcello was the chief Mafia crime boss in New Orleans from 1947 until 1983. It was alleged that he and several other mobsters were somehow involved in the assassination of President Kennedy, but no formal charges were filed against him even though the rumors swirled around for years.
In 1951, Marcello was hauled up to testify in front of the Kefauver Committee, which was a government effort to prove the existence of organized crime despite J. Edgar Hoover’s belief that the Mafia didn’t exist.
I don’t think that anyone has ever attempted to research this issue to any great extent, but it is thought that Marcello set a record by taking the 5th Amendment 152 times.
If, in fact, Marcello did establish a criteria for judging whether someone being investigated by a government panel uses the Constitutional protection against self-incrimination more times than anyone else, then Marcello’s performance has definitely been eclipsed by the attorney Kenneth Chesebro when he testified in front of the Select Committee which investigated the so-called ‘insurrection’ which occurred in Washington D.C. on January 6th.
