Do We Get Two or Four More Years of Trump?

Robert Reich has just published an op-ed in which he explains to all the result of us why we lost the campaign in 2024. Here’s what he says: “The lesson of the debacle of the 2024 election is that big corporations and the wealthy have shafted average working Americans, whose wages and jobs have gone nowhere for decades and who are understandably frustrated and angry at what they see as a rigged system.”

Okay. So instead of telling us about why Trump is such a Fascist, we now have a new mantra that Reich will continue to promote, namely, something about the ‘debacle’ of 2024.

There have been 16 Presidential elections since I first started paying attention to politics during the 1960 election won by JFK. In those 16 contests, the GOP has won 9 times, and our team has won 7 national campaigns.

If Sandra Day O’Connor hadn’t bought Roger Stone’s bullshit about how votes were stolen in Palm Beach County in the 2000 election, a decision she later publicly disavowed, Gore would have won that election and the blue versus red count in Presidential contests would be 8 and 8.

Parenthetically, I might add that I’m not so upset at Gore’s loss to Bush in 2000, because if Gore had won, he would have sent a million troops into Afghanistan after the Twin Towers came down.
