Does It Matter What Politicians Actually Say?

So, Orange Shithead shows up at CPAC, talks for close to two hours and now adds yet another conspiracy theory to his litany of how the Fake Media does nothing except promote false narratives about events which never took place.

The latest, according to OS, is the alleged kidnapping of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitman, which never took place, with the Governor always being safer than the attendees at CPAC who were listening to Trump.

Down the corner from where I grew up was Melanson’s Bar & Grill. Every day around 4 p.m. the regulars would show up — mostly guys who worked for the Sanitation Department either picking up the garbage or cleaning the streets. They would have two or three drafts at a quarter each, then go home for dinner and a snore.

The bartender at Melanson’s kept a well-thumbed copy of the World Almanac — Book of Facts under the bar to settle disputes. If a fact couldn’t be found in this book, it wasn’t a fact.

Every time Trump opens his mouth, I think he’s sitting on a bar stool at Melanson’s, sipping a beer and loudly telling everyone what he says is true.

This is what the 2022 version of the POS/GOP has become. Who can get the most media coverage by saying something that may or may not have anything to do with what we believe to be true?
