Does the Progressive-Moderate Split in the Democratic Party Mean Anything at All?

Want to read the single, dumbest piece of media produced by the Fake News in this year’s campaign? Try this article in The (failing) New York Times which ostensibly covers what is allegedly a serious split within party ranks between the so-called ‘progressive’ and ‘moderate’ wings regarding the choice of a Vice President to run with Kamala, a decision which will be announced within the next several days.

In case you don’t know the difference between those two groupings, here’s a definition from the San Francisco Chronicle, a media outlet from the city which has to be considered as the greatest bastion of progressive belief today: “Progressives work to make long-term change that lift up all parts of society, not just some. They push the edge of what is politically possible and fight for aspirational demands that fundamentally transform society. Moderates uphold the status quo and make short-sighted compromises that primarily benefit those already at the top, leaving many behind to fight for the crumbs.”

This whole ‘progressive’ nomenclature attached to the Democrat(ic) Party actually came out one of the founders of alt-right media, Glenn Beck, who was one of Ruch Limbaugh’s earliest wannabees but was able to do what Rush couldn’t, which was to transition to TV by joining the Fox
