Donald Trump Becomes Jimmy Carter’s Friend.

So, yesterday, Jimmy Carter died and of course the polite plaudits from other political leaders immediately poured in.

Here’s maybe the best and most touching statement made about Carter by any other public figure. I saw this on a feed from CBS: “The challenges Jimmy faced as President came at a pivotal time for our country and he did everything in his power to improve the lives of all Americans. For that, we all owe him a debt of gratitude.”

That statement was made by — ready? — Donald fucking Trump!

No. Not possible. This had to be some Democrat pretending to be Trump. Or maybe it was one of those nice, decent Republicans like Mitt Romney and the media just screwed it up and attributed it to Trump.

So, I checked Trump’s website and there it was — word for fucking word.
