Getting Fed Up with Trump?

The more I think about it, the more I think that maybe, just maybe, this idiot Pete Hegseth has given the Democrat(ic) Party an opportunity to kick the shit out of the GOP-MAGA gang next year and restore some degree of sanity and reality to the way things are done in Washington, D.C.
I say this because the eagle-eyed lawyer sister just sent me some data from the early voting in Florida’s 6th CD, where a special election is being held next week to fill a House seat vacated when Michael Waltz resigned to become Trump’s national security advisor earlier this year.
Waltz might actually be thinking that maybe he should have remained in Congress, given how both Hegseth and Trump are responding to the leak of classified information which occurred this past week.
Hegseth is so fucking stupid that he responded to a question about the appearance of a plan for how we would respond to a military attack by the Chinese in the hands of the Editor in Chief of The Atlantic magazine, he sputtered on and on about how Jeffrey Goldberg was a known liar, even though the GOP-leaning media had already admitted that Goldberg’s story about his unsolicited receipt of the classified material happened to be true.
As for Trump, his initial response to the issue was even more bizarre, dismissing it as a nothingburger because, as he said, it was the first screw-up in his Administration this year.
The first screw-up? This is how you describe what has to be a total and complete collapse of the security procedures we allegedly have in place to keep such information under lock and key?
And by the way, it took Trump three days to say anything about Goldberg’s reportage, I suspect because his noisemaking team first had to run various responses past a focus group to see what would and wouldn’t sell.
Anyway, so my sister sends me a report about early voting in the Florida 6th CD, which breaks down the numbers of voters by their party registration, i.e., Republic(an), Democrat(ic) and no specific party registration.
Note, by the way, that in 2024, Waltz won his Congressional seat by a two-to-one margin over his opposition; Trump won the Presidential vote in the 6th CD by the same margin as well.
