Has Trump Become Another Regular Guy?

Last week I had two really bad moments after Jimmy Carter died. The first moment was because I really liked Carter. In fact, his decision to pardon the Viet Nam war resisters was the most fundamentally decent and honorable decision that any President ever made, at least since I started following politics which was in 1960 during JFK’s Presidential campaign.

The second bad moment was the day after Carter died, when Donald Trump posted a statement about Carter on his stupid website which was the very first time that Trump ever said anything properly respectful about any individual who didn’t kiss his fat MAGA ass any time over the past almost ten years.

Here is a portion of what Trump actually said: “The challenges Jimmy faced as President came at a pivotal time for our country and he did everything in his power to improve the lives of all Americans. For that, we all owe him a debt of gratitude.”

When I read that statement I thought, “Oh shit! Has Trump decided to behave like a decent human being instead of like the shitass, pompous fool which is how he always comes across?”

Because there was nothing in what Trump said about Carter which would have provided me and all the other digital Trump-haters with some grist for our daily mills. Now what the fuck am I going to write about every day?
