Here Comes the Trump Administration — Again!

It was Karl Marx who said, “History repeats itself first as tragedy and then as farce.”

And if the tragedy occurred on November 7th, then the farce took place yesterday when Trump announced that he’s going to name Matt Gaetz to be his A.G.

Gaetz immediately resigned from Congress, effectively ending investigations into his conduct both on and off the House floor, as well as misusing campaign funds for personal use. Although Gaetz has absolutely no experience in any kind of professional activity related to being a prosecutor, he stated he would bring to the AG’s office his knowledge about prosecutorial issues because he’s been the “most investigated member of Congress.”

For those of my liberal friends who believe that this move by Trump demonstrates how much of a threat Trump’s election represents, what the naming of Gaetz really represents is the fact that Trump is not only a lame-duck, but his lame-duckness has less than two years to run.

If the Democrats don’t fuck everything up (which they are capable of doing, btw) Trump will have about 18 months to continue building his MAGA brand, because by mid-2026, which is 18 months away, we’ll be in the next election cycle and if history, farce or not is any guide, the Dems should be able easily to become the majority party in at least one, if not…
