How Bad Will Things Get Under Trump?

So, now that the Fake News was not able to convince enough voters that Trump represented a Fascist threat, we are given a new take on the dangers of a Trump second term, this time the idea that he will wreck the justice system by using the cops and the courts to go after all those liberals, Marxists and Socialists who made it so difficult for him and the rest of America over the last four years.

And to back up this claim, the leadership of the Fake News, a.k.a., The (failing) New York Times, has just published a long and detailed piece based on the results of a survey given to “50 members of the D.C. legal establishment,” which must surely include just about every hot-air windbag who inhabits the digital echo chamber located within Washington, D.C.

We are never given the full list of respondents to this survey, nor can we read and consider the questions ourselves. And frankly, I have about as much faith in the validity of anonymous surveys as I have faith in the idea that I’ll keep the promise I made myself this morning that today’s diet will actually succeed.

Be that as it may, what the authors of this article are trying to do is come up with yet another twist on the ‘Trump’s a threat to democracy’ line, but this time backing up their warning with the views and concerns of the people whose behavior will really determine how much…
