How Do We End Violence in the Near East?
This past Sunday, an internet message board associated with a Jewish student group at Cornell University received some virulent, anti-Semitic messages threatening all kinds of hatred and violence evidently provoked by the Israel-Hamas war.
The messages drew immediate responses from the usual respectable subjects, i.e., the University President (who also happens to be Jewish), the New York State Attorney General who took a minute off from chasing Trump to chasing couch-potato anti-Semites, to even the Governor of New York State who said her greatest concern was for the safety of state residents.
Of course, this incident gave CNN and the other cable-fake news something to talk about, and I ended up watching CNN while Dana Bash interviewed a member of the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) research team which tracks anti-Semitic and other hate or ‘extremist’ events both within and without the United States.
Has here been an increase in anti-Semitism since Hamas and Israel started lobbing bombs at each other, Ms. Bash asked the guy from ADL? Not only has there been an increase was the response, but there has been a steady upward trend of anti-Semitic and extremist behavior over the past couple of years.
