How Many Lies Has Trump Told?

It is now eight full years since Donald Trump announced that he was running for President and wanted to be a player in the biggest, most important media environment of all time.

And over that eight-year period, not only did Trump totally change the whole media approach that was previously used by politicians in the United States and everywhere else, but the media organizations and groups which have been carrying his statements and appearances still haven’t figured him out.

I’m referring to the continued comments which have surrounded Trump’s claim that he has made seven aces (hole-in-one) shots over the years. And without exception, every single comment about Trump’s boast have been negative, i.e., just another Trump lie.

The comment has been called ‘insane,’ it’s been fact-checked as ‘unproven,’ the media disbelief about this statement goes on and on.

As someone who has probably played as many rounds of golf as Trump has played (from April through November I routinely walk 27–36 holes of golf every week) I can tell you that when a golfer talks about the number of aces he’s had over the years, it’s kind of like the way a guy who goes fishing describes the size of some fish he caught but then tossed back in.

I actually got one hole-in-one, which was in 1996 or 1997 on the Southampton Country…
