Is Donald Trump a Threat?

He may be a scumbag, a bully, a shitass, a racist or a dumb bastard, but the one thing that Donald Trump isn’t, is a threat.

Why do I say that? Because an awful lot of people, including many so-called political experts and liberal pundits, claim that he is a threat.

Now maybe he’s no longer a Fascist. Maybe he’s nothing more than a guy who would like to be President for the rest of his life, even though he can’t.

But if you want to walk around thinking that he’s going to somehow obliterate a democratic process which has only been going on now for 238 years, you go right ahead.

Except that maybe, just maybe you need to take a refresher course in American History 101. So here goes, okay?

The United States is so law-abiding that to talk about the ‘threat’ of authoritarianism represented by Donald Trump is almost a joke.

Of all the advanced countries in the world, the United States is the only country which has never suffered from a general strike or an armed challenge to government authority at any time.

Hey! What about the Civil War? That wasn’t a challenge, a threat to the U.S.A?

The Civil War was exactly what it’s called — a war. The Confederate states formed a separate country with its own Congress, its own Constitution…
