Did he really say something that stupid? Is he really that fucking dumb?

I’m talking about the statement made by the running-mate of Jesus Christ (a.k.a. Donald Trump) who actually said that we should dismantle NATO if our European allies try to regulate the content on social media sites owned by Elon Musk.

But the truth is that J. D. Vance knows exactly what he’s talking about because the folks who would take umbrage at such a bizarre statement are all misty-eyed liberals like me, whereas the MAGA-GOP crowd will vote the Christ-Vance ticket no matter what he says.

But this brings up an interesting question, when all is said and done, which is what are the foreign policy objectives of the two competing campaigns? What we get from Kamala is some ‘concerns’ about what is going on in Gaza, but no real ideas for how to end that mess. What we get from Trump is what we always get from Trump about everything, namely, he’ll fix it immediately and fix it the right way.

Even though I tend to have nothing but negative feelings about the GOP, I still must at least try to write about politics in an objective, balanced way. Which means that when we talk about foreign policy we are basically talking about wars or the threat of war, and in that respect, it must be admitted that following the end of World War II, it was the…
