Is the 2024 Campaign Over?

So, Trump shows up at a meeting of black media people from all over the United States and says something so crazy and so insulting that I have to assume he knows that the 2024 campaign has come to an end.

Not only did he inject a racially divisive and insulting narrative into his remarks before an overwhelmingly black crowd, but what he said had absolutely nothing to do with the truth.

Here’s a verbatim cut-and-paste of what Trump said: “I’ve known her a long time, indirectly, not directly very much, and she was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black. So, I don’t know, is she Indian, or is she Black?”

Trump paused for a moment while the audience gasped, and then to make sure he wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to take something bad and make it worse, he added, “I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t. Because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden, she made a turn, and she went — she became a Black person. And I think somebody should look into that, too.”

Maybe the same person who told Trump that Obama wasn’t born in the United States might now be hired by the Trump campaign to explain how come Kamala’s black when she’s really not black…
