Is This Election So Important?

One of my readers wrote me a note the other day and said he was completely bored by the current campaign and was going to stop listening to what both candidates have to say.

I tend to agree with him and here’s the reason why.

What we have right now are two guys — Joe and Trump — who are more or less the same age. So, if all this malarky about how Joe is too demented to spend another four years in the pressure cooker of the Oval Office, the same could and should be said about his opponent as well.

Particularly because Trump may not have any trouble walking off the debate stage by himself, but he sure says lots of crazy and nutty things when he’s on the stage.

And what are both of these guys saying to those of us who have to show up on November 5th and cast a vote?

They are both saying that this is the most important election of all time.

One of them says this election is so important because if the other guy is elected, the country will stop being a democracy, which it’s only been a democratic country, legally speaking, for 240 years.

The other guy says that even though we have the lowest unemployment rate since we started keeping track of this number and any day the Dow will go over 40 grand, if he’s not elected (oops, I mean re-elected)…
