It’s About Time: The GOP Tells Trump to F*ck Off!
Recently I wrote a story in which I pointed out that Trump may once again become President, but he’s also going to be a lame duck, a situation that will become a serious issue no later than one year after he takes the Oath again, because the 2026 election cycle will swing into full gear.
Not only has Trump not won the national popular vote in what has now been his third try, but after he campaigned vigorously around the country and called the 2018 election a ‘plebiscite’ on his performance to date, the GOP got their asses kicked in.
On the other hand, I really didn’t expect that Trump would begin to face opposition and criticism within his own ranks even before he becomes the President, but he got clobbered last week when none other than the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, issued a stern and angry rebuke of RFK Jr’s thoughtless and stupid attack on the polio vaccine.
It turns out that McConnell himself contracted polio as a young boy, but he was cured of the disease even though he was a patient with this illness long before the vaccine had been developed and was going around.
McConnell’s ire became a matter of public record when he first learned that a lawyer working for RFK had filed a lawsuit against the FDA requiring the agency to revoke the polio vaccine, and has also…
