Let’s Just Stop Screwing Around and Get Behind Joe.

Far be it for me to challenge a guy like David Axelrod when it comes to talking about elections, but I’m having a serious problem dealing with his analysis about the challenge posed by Cornel West against Joe. Here’s what Axelrod said in a recent Twitter post: “In 2016, the Green Party played an outsized role in tipping the election to Donald Trump. Now, with Cornel West as their likely nominee, they could easily do it again.”

Is Axelrod warning the Green Party to steer clear of West’s attempt to garner their nomination or is he reminding us that Joe is not really a viable candidate in 2024? I don’t know which is which, but I can say that Axelrod’s argument that the presence of the Green Party in several swing states cost Hillary the 2016 election is simply wrong and is nothing more than yet another person who should know better buying into Hillary’s bullsh*t for why she didn’t win.

Hillary opens her explanation of 2016 (the book What Happened) with a 30-page screed in which she claims that she had assembled the greatest political team of all time, and the reason she lost the election was because Trump connived with Putin to do her in. It’s now seven years since that election, and she’s still saying the same, goddamn thing.
