Memo to Trump’s Lawyers: Your Client Is the Defendant.
Just when it couldn’t get any better, it got better. I’m not referring to how the accounting firm used by Trump for his social media company has been rated totally deficient by the government agency which judges the performance of such companies — that’s old news.
Even older news is that the company which was putting up the bond to protect Trump’s New York properties from being foreclosed while he appeals his conviction for bank fraud doesn’t seem to have the money to bail him out.
Yesterday, the lawyers who are representing Trump in his upcoming New York trial on felony charges stemming from how he paid off Stormy Daniels to keep her mouth shut, sent a subpoena to a guy named Jeremy Rosenberg to get documents covering the New York AG’s investigation of Michael Cohen.
The subpoena was received by a guy named Jeremy Rosenberg except he wasn’t the guy who worked for the AG. It was an entirely different Jeremy Rosenberg who lives in Brooklyn and has absolutely no connection whatsoever to anything having to do with Donald Trump.
I note, incidentally, that the media reports about this snafu claim that the subpoena document was ‘sent’ to Mister Rosenberg, which means that it was probably stuck in the mail. In other words, Trump’s lawyers didn’t want to pay the expense of hiring a…
