Now That Trump Is Guilty, Will We Have a Civil War?

It took exactly one hour, if that long, for the alt-right echo chamber to start resounding with noise about how Trump’s hush-money conviction is probably the worst thing that has ever happened in the United States.

Worse than Covid-19, that’s for sure. Worse than Pearl Harbor, no doubt about that.

One of the alt-right noisemakers, a digital and media entertainer out of Philadelphia named Joey Mannarino, went on his X-Twitter account with the following:

“As of today, with this fake guilty verdict against Trump, America is no longer the United States. We are a third world shithole heading for a Civil War.”

You should know, incidentally, that this kid has similar pages on Spotify, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. How come all I have is my Medium account?

Maybe if I would widen my digital footprint, I could also get mentioned in a Newsweek story today with the headline that the Trump verdict could be creating the conditions for a civil war.

And don’t make the mistake of thinking that a responsible and respectable publication like Newsweek, which featured Mannarino in a story about how MAGA is reacting to the Trump verdict bases its concern about another civil war coming to America by just grabbing a post by an alt-right digital…
