Now That Trump’s Back, What’s Next?
For all my dear friends who are now sitting at home ( or at the local Starbucks drinking their four-dollar cup of coffee) and lamenting about how Fascism is about to engulf America, it might be worth remembering that the worst political decision made since World War II — getting involved in Viet Nam — was made by two liberals — JFK and LBJ.
And by the way, I don’t notice how the liberal Biden-Harri administration went out of their way to keep the Israel Defense Forces from running amok in Gaza over the past year.
But my thoughts in that regard took a different and very hopeful turn when I happened to see a story yesterday (pic above) about demonstrations in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia which referred to the incoming President as a ‘fascist clown’ and called for an immediate end to the violence in Gaza which Trump says he hopes the IDF will quickly ‘finish the job.’
The demonstration in Chicago was outside Trump’s Hotel and Tower and was led by The Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, a local chapter of a national group founded in 1i973 and was clearly the outgrowth of the anti-war movement, which had come together at the 1968 Democratic National Convention.
I happened to have been involved in mobilizing college students in Chicago for that demonstration, and we didn’t waste any…
