Reich Corrects Trump on the Coming Economic Collapse.
For the past several years, I have been loudly critical of Robert Reich, who has been pontificating away about how Trump represents a Fascist ‘threat.’
Now don’t get me wrong. Reich was a solid performer as Secretary of Labor under Clinton, he then joined the Brandeis University faculty and then ran for Governor in 2002. He got screwed over good by the Massachusetts Democrat(ic) Party which dumped him in favor of a long-time Party hack named Shannon O’Brien, and then in 2006 he joined the faculty at UC-Berkeley where he teaches, writes, and contributes op-eds to various media outlets of the Fake News.
Reich has been obsessed with the idea of Trump leading the country into a Fascist dictatorship, except his strident analysis of Trump’s political pandering lacks one important thing, namely, what Reich knows about fascism has little if anything to do with historical facts.
Somebody like Trump can mouth all the Fascist-like sentiments he wants to, but talk is cheap. And what turns Fascist talk into Fascist action is the ability to put together and lead a large, organized, and armed following which will back up the rhetoric with constant displays of brute, physical force.
