Renee: I have no problem getting and reading critiques of my work but if can out the nastiness and insults aside you might get more of a response. Unless, of course, the only reason you send comments to people with whom you disagree is because you enjoy telling someone else off in the most insulting and nasty tones.

That being said, I'll still take the trouble to respond to your remarks and tell you this: My grandparents lived throughout the Great Depression In New York City. My grandfather always had a job because he was in food retail and the city's market was so big that work could always be found. Granted, the pay was not much and there was a general insecurity in the neighborhood because some people couldn't find work and others got laid off. But nobody starved and life went on in a fairly normal way.

Meanwhile, in Oklahoma and other parts of the Midwest there really was starvation and there were places where the population faced famine, like the kind of famine that hit India in 1948 and resulted in Britain pulling up stakes.

I'm sorry that you are having a rough time but your situation is not what most people are dealing with, unless the government is lying about all the economic numbers.

Hope things work out for you.
