The GOP Goes Looking for New Friends.
Now that the GOP is beginning to smell that Trump’s campaign has the same odor as a piece of fish which is sitting in the fridge and beginning to turn green, they are looking around for other ‘options’ which they can explore to keep the party competitive in the 2024 race.
When someone in politics uses the word ‘option,’ it’s a polite way of trying to distance themselves from the candidate who they should be supporting but because that individual is such an asshole, their support may be transitory at best.
I wrote a story after Joe gave his State of the Union speech which I said marked the real beginning of his campaign, and the polls would begin to tighten as Trump was now not the only one out there who was focusing on November 5th.
As of today, Joe and Trump are essentially tied in 5 of the 7 battleground states. And if Trump’s miniscule lead continues to shrink in states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Georgia, you’ll begin to hear more comments from GOP-land about which ‘options’ might be considered viable alternatives to a national ticket headed by Trump.
