The MAGA Collapse Begins — Maybe!

Well, that didn’t take long.

Here it is a couple of days short of when Donald Trump moved his fat ass back into the Oval Office and things are beginning to come apart.

I’m referring in particular to the decision announced yesterday to withdraw Elise Stefanik’s nomination to be the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, reflecting GOP-MAGA fears that the special elections coming up to fill vacated House seats in Florida could eliminate their razor-thin majority in the lower chamber.

These fears were magnified when a special election to fill a state senate seat from a district in Pennsylvania which has voted red for the last century ended up with a big W for the blue team.

So, Stefanik can go back to her upstate New York district and try to figure out a way to get noticed by the GOP-MAGA gang again.

Talking about trying to get noticed, have you noticed how often Marjorie Taylor Greene has been appearing on any media channels of late? Actually, she did an interview yesterday which ended up as a complete mess because the best she should do was insult a seasoned, British reporter and then refuse to answer the same question put to her by a reporter from the United States.

And then we have the newly appointed Defense Secretary, Peter Hegseth, who delivers an obviously scripted comment at Hickam Field in Pearl Harbor where he’s ‘inspecting’ the troops but actually staying away from D.C. until the whole business about the classified texts going to Jeffrey Goldberg quiets down and Hegseth denies that the documents contained any kind of ‘war plan’ at all.

So, then Goldberg releases the entire file he received (which he had been holding off releasing in deference to what he thought was the proper thing to do) and the texts contain a very detailed plan for how the U.S. military was going to attack the rebels in Yemen.

In other words, what we’re getting now is a detailed demonstration of how Trump and the MAGA gang are unable to manage anything other than a daily barrage of noise combining stupidity, lies and racism to keep themselves in front of the Fake News day-to-day parade.
