This may come as a great shiock to you, but what you seem to think needs to be corrected by you is exactly what I said in my column, namely, that as gun regulations have increased, so has homicde rates. The rreason I didn’t mention the 1938 was that it was not a regulation at all since it didn’t designate any federal agency to actually go around and check as to whether or not people selling guns were licensed. I never said that most states have universal background checks.
