Time to Shut Down the Internet.

I never thought I would encounter something more stupid than Donald Trump and the MAGA brigade, but that’s not true. Today I hit the single, dumbest expression of political behavior that I could ever imagine, which is a website put up by a guy who teaches at Cornell University Law School that allegedly tracks where Critical Race Theory (CRT) is taught at K-12 public and private schools, colleges and universities and medical schools in all 50 states.

The project is part of the agenda of an outfit called the Legal Insurrection Foundation, which was founded by the same character, and is dedicated to informing the public about “legal, historical, economic, academic, and cultural issues related to the Constitution, liberty, and world events.”

What this bunch is really dedicated to doing is promoting an aggressive Libertarian agenda, which is a combination of stupid, far-right nonsense coupled with an appeal to racism because, after all, if you want to maintain our ‘traditional’ liberties against the so-called ‘encroachments’ of the federal government, the first and most important tradition is keeping the country White.

When all is said and done, this whole right-wing attack on CRT is nothing more than a reaction to an upsurge of anti-racist sentiment and anger over the killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. And I don’t know about anyone…
