Trump Goes After Two Groups Who Won’t Vote for Him.
I don’t care what the polls show. Donald Trump is losing this election and he’s losing it bad. Why do I say that? Because he spent the weekend in Detroit, first speaking at the Turning Points conference and then making an appearance at a black church.
Turning Points is a clever fundraising device for a young political entrepreneur named Charlie Kirk who has put together an alt-right political organization comprised mainly of kids who are students at various Evangelical-based colleges like Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University or an alt-right college like Hillsdale, the latter founded as a Baptist school before the Civil War, but now calls itself ‘non-denominational’ even though the campus today reeks of God-fearing homilies, refuses to take government funding of any sort and used to be advertised on the Rush Limbaugh show.
Where did Turning Points hold its conference this past weekend? Where but in Detroit, which means the entire faculty and student body at Hillsdale turned out. Who were some of the other speakers besides Trump at this event? Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene — who else?
