Trump Meets His Match at the Garden.
The first political rally I ever attended was in 1960, when a bunch of us from my high school cut class and went downtown to see JFK at this big rally in front of Macy’s Department Store at Herald Square.
So, I was bitten by the bug and over the years I have probably gone to 25 or 30 rallies in various states, and to show you that I’m really a good guy willing to listen to both sides, I even attended a rally held in South Carolina in 1976 where the lead speaker was Strom Thurmond, and I thought I was at a meeting of the Klan.
All that being said, the craziest and most weird moment I have ever witnessed at a rally was an appearance at Trump’s rally the other night by a guy named David Rem, whom the program identified as a ‘boyhood friend’ of Trump.
Now, given the fact that this former Department of Sanitation worker claims to be 60 years old, I’m not quite sure how he could have been a kid who hung out with Trump insofar as Orange Shithead would have been far beyond his boyhood years before this guy was born.
But that’s just an incidental issue which shouldn’t detract in any way from the bizarre and totally crazy image that this guy presented when he got up on the Madison Square Garden stage.
