Trump & Musk: Two of a Kind.

Want the best news of all for today? It’s not that the polls show Kamala and Tim continuing their upward surge. It’s not that Trump’s campaign team got into a fistfight with a security guard at Arlington National Cemetery because they weren’t allowed to take pictures of Trump making a visit to the troops that were killed when that bomb went off at the airport in Kabul. It’s not that the Democrats now look better about keeping the Senate and taking back the House.

Those are all good things that are happening today, but they don’t really compare to the best news of all, which is that X, formerly known as Twitter, might be going down the tubes.

And if X disappears, to a greater or lesser extent Elon Musk will disappear as well.

Two years ago, this bastion of social media bullshit had 2nd-quarter revenues of $661 million. This year for the same three-month period, the revenue was $114 million. Another quarter like the second quarter and it’s bye-bye to Elon Musk’s hot-air machine.

Musk is blaming this collapse on a conspiracy of some of the former advertisers to quit the program because they didn’t like his commitment to ‘free speech,’ which seems to have been represented by one issue, which was the return to the platform of Donald Trump.
