Trump Sets a New Standard for Presidential Speech.

Before I get into the substance of this story, I want my readers to understand that I am not in any way size or shape trying to find a way to excuse the behavior or public presence of Donald Trump.

He is a mean, nasty, rude, and hateful individual who has absolutely no business being in any kind of public patrimony. And the best that can be said about his performance as President is that he’s an embarrassment to us all.

He’s also a criminal and his criminality is not just a function of personal greed, but also reflects his willingness to throw every legal and Constitutional definition of lawful behavior to the winds.

That being said, I also have to examine his performance in the Oval Office through the prism of Felix Frankfurter’s dictum that ‘history also has its claims.’

And in that regard, some of the claims that Trump has made and continues to make for the history of the American Presidency are both unique and as yet have not been adequately acknowledged by either his side or the other side, i.e., the red and blue teams.

If our side, the Democrats, don’t come to understand and figure out how to react and respond to the brief history of President Donald Trump, any possibility that 2026 will see a reckoning and resurgence of Democrat(ic) strength and…
