Want To Meet Some Idiots? Go To a Rally for Trump.

You know that a political campaign is in trouble when an event is held that should be cancelled or postponed but they go ahead and hold it anyway because the campaign can’t afford to miss an opportunity to scrounge up every single vote.

Yesterday Trump held a rally in Las Vegas where the temperature was at least 100 degrees, maybe as many as 30 people had to receive medical attention for heat problems and at least ten wound up in a local hospital because they needed more extensive medical help.

And what did Trump say which was his made-to-order lie specifically designed to appeal to this crowd? He told them that as soon as he returned to the Oval Office, he would push through a new law to exempt them from paying income taxes on tips they received for doing service work in casinos and hotels.

That’s great. Trump is going to make tax evasion legal. Figures, doesn’t it? After all, this is a guy who signed 34 totally illegal checks to cover up paying off a so-called ‘adult film star’ for keeping her mouth shut, but he did nothing wrong, right?

I can just see Trump on Thursday doing a Zoom with his probation officer in New York and telling this guy that even though a jury found him guilty of 34 felony counts, he shouldn’t be punished because the trial took place in New York and nobody…
