We Can’t Let Trump Win.
Last night I quit watching the debate after about 10 minutes because I was afraid that Vance wouldn’t be asked whether he believed that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump.
Actually, he was asked the question near the end of the debate and predictably refused to commit that the 2020 vote was valid, which kicked up a storm on the Fake News that by this morning had disappeared.
When I switched off the debate, I then clicked on an HBO channel and watched a remarkable documentary, ‘Stopping the Steal,’ which has been playing on various streaming networks since September and has racked up an Emmy award.
The documentary is entirely based on interviews with Republic(an) political officials in three states — Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania — who supported Trump in 2020 but were then pressured by Trump to declare the existence of election fraud even though diligent checking and recounting of ballots showed that no fraud had occurred at all.
The documentary also showed numerous clips of Rudy Giuliani and his legal team testifying in front of various state commissions and public meetings alleging all kinds of election fraud without producing any evidence of any kind to support their allegations about how the election was rigged.
