We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Government.

I happen to think that not only is the government shutdown a good thing, but the Democrats should keep it shut down until Trump is out of office and gone.

Relax, the social security checks will still be mailed out on time, the interstate highways will still be open, the Blue Angels will still fly over the Super Bowl.

What else do we need?

I don’t remember the last time I needed something from the government that came from the feds. Between my town government, the county government and the state government, I have about all I can take from any public agency, okay?

But the real reason I want the federal government to stay shut down is because we have a President who’s the manager of all those public agencies and can only think of how the government can help him and his wealthy friends take as much away from the rest of us as they can.

Maybe I’m kind of old-fashioned, or maybe I just don’t understand the way things are supposed to be now, but I always thought that the role of government was to help people deal with problems which they can’t deal with themselves.

And maybe I just don’t get it, but I don’t think that paying 25% of my income in taxes when I’m earning a couple of hundred grand a year is a problem. I also don’t think it’s much of a problem for…
