What Do We Really Know About Gaza?

You would think that in a situation as fraught with possible threats to world safety and security as what’s going on in Gaza, that the least we could expect from the Fake News (a.k.a. liberal-based) media would be some degree of objective analysis about the historical circumstances which led up to the present crisis, so you would think.

The purpose of this story is to give my readers some factual context in which to judge for themselves how both sides in this little war are talking and behaving, if only to make it possible to at least have some degree of realistic knowledge that can be used to understand what’s going on.

I need to start this narrative by going back to 1993, which is when an agreement known as the Oslo Accords took place, which made Gaza (seized by Israel in 1967) an autonomous zone under the control of the Palestinian Authority with the complete withdrawal of the Israeli military taking place at the same time.

Every two years, there were elections in Gaza to determine which political party would administer the territory, and to the surprise of both Israel and the United States, the 2006
