What’s Donald Trump Going to do About Ukraine?

Remember last year how there was all this sturm und drang in the media over a place called Ukraine? Remember when there was an equal amount of noise being made in Congress over whether or not to send more guns and ammo to Ukraine?

When was the last time you saw a segment about Ukraine on the evening news? I know, I know, they only have enough time to run one story about a war somewhere outside the United States, so obviously once there’s a report about Gaza, there’s no time left over for anything else, right?

So, meanwhile it now turns out that the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, or whatever Russia calls itself these days, has turned into an invasion of Russia by Ukraine which has now resulted in the evacuation of several thousand Russian civilians who were living in the region around the city of Kursk, an area of some 350 square kilometers which is now, to all intents and purposes, a part of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, back on the home front in Russia, the only thing which is apparently keeping the Russian economy from collapsing is the money that Putin is pouring into covering the costs of the war, but whenever a government chooses guns over butter, the result is usually a GDP decline and an increase in inflation, which is exactly what’s happening in Russia these days.
