What’s Going On In Ukraine?

I just finished reading an online story by a guy who was born in 1978 and describes himself as an expert on military and foreign affairs, even though his Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina happens to be in fiction writing.

But he’s got a blog on Substack and a personal blog as well, which is how people can become experts in any field today.

This particular expert, whose name is David Axe, evidently came of age right around 2000, which means he has absolutely not the slightest degree of awareness or familiarity with events which might have given him a slight perspective on what Russia is doing today in Ukraine, which is the topic of the story I just read which predicts that a recent move of some North Korean troops to shore up the tattered Russian military presence (note picture above) could be a harbinger for World War III.

Because David Axe has no perspective on anything which happened in the century previous to the century we are in now, he can’t imagine or understand that Russia’s failure to dominate an adjacent country militarily is hardly something new. In fact, Russia, which was then known as the Soviet Union, moved troops into the neighboring country of Afghanistan in 1979.
