What’s Wrong with Gridlock if the GOP Wins the Hill?

So, what happened to all the sturm und drang we were supposed to experience yesterday? Weren’t we told again and again how fractured the political system has become? Weren’t we warned that there was going to be violence at the polls? Wasn’t this election a test as to whether or not democracy would survive in the United States?

Talk about hyped-up bullsh*t. The only phony narrative that the Fake News has been promoting recently with more vigor is the idea that inflation has made it ‘impossible’ for so many families to put any food on their dinner tables at all.

But that’s for another column, okay?

I watched CNN in snatches all day long and I didn’t hear any of their noisemakers mention that the behavior of voters in this election was as orderly and calm as it could be.

What happened to the MAGA army that was supposed to show up where votes were being counted in the swing states to make sure that this election wasn’t stolen again? How come Trump wasn’t holding some mega-rally in Georgia to help push Walker the Dumb Talker over the finish line?

In fact, Trump was sitting in his Mar-a-Lago house, no doubt trying to figure out what to say if the FBI stages another raid, and in the meantime pushing a post-election narrative to one of those phony, alt-right…
