When Did Marjorie Taylor Greene Join the Left?

Like most of us who are liberals and follow the mainstream (a.k.a. fake) news, I have always thought of Marjorie Taylor Greene as nothing but a nut job who gets herself a possible slot on the 2024 ticket as Trump’s V.P. pick by saying things which nobody else is willing to say.

But yesterday, I happened to watch a few minutes of her interview on Steve Bannon’s podcast, and to my utter astonishment she said something which made me think that perhaps I have her and what is said about her by the Fake News media to be all wrong.

She was explaining why she is trying to throw Mike Johnson out of the Speaker’s chair in the House, along with voting against the money which will now go to Israel and Ukraine to buy munitions that both countries need in order top keep fighting their wars.

I thought that what I would hear from MTG was the usual, warmed-over isolationist bullshit that the GOP has been peddling for the last hundred years, which is a riff on what Trump said when he effectively pulled us out of NATO and many other internationalist arrangements as well.

That’s not what I heard at all. What I heard, and you can hear it here as well, was a critique of current government policy which comes right out of the playbook of the Left, which Leftists like me and my friends have been promoting for the last sixty or so years.

And what is this criticism all about? It’s the idea that the government subsidizes the economy by spending vast amounts…
