When Will Trump Lose His War?
The usual story is that we lost the Viet Nam War when our last troops pulled out of Saigon on March 29, 1973.
But we really lost the war on May 4, 1970, when the National Guard came onto the campus at Kent State University in Ohio, killed four students and wounded nine other college kids, none of whom had any weapons which could have inflicted any damage on the Guard troops at all.
If Trump continues to send the National Guard into those Communist cities like Portland or Chicago, sooner or later one of those weekend warriors will forget his gun is loaded, pull the trigger and we’ll have another Kent State.
At which point, Trump’s attempt to do what Republic(an)s have been trying to do for ninety years, namely, get rid of the New Deal, will collapse.
And make no mistake about it, all this nonsense about woke and transgender and all the other antediluvian crap which the alt-right flings around is nothing more than just an updated version of what the GOP did at their 1936 national convention when they nominated Alf Landon, the former Governor of Kansas, and then passed a party platform which started off like this:
