When Your Opponent is Donald Trump, Does It Matter If You’re Soft in the Head?

Funny, but have you noticed that all of a sudden Trump and the GOP have stopped talking about ‘demented’ Joe Biden? This was Trump’s standard attack line during the 2020 campaign which didn’t work at all.

After the election, Trump spent the next couple of years ranting about the stolen election, but thanks to January 6th, this line hasn’t really caught on, or at least it hasn’t made much of an impression on anyone other than the most reliable GOP voters who will always agree with whatever any GOP politician says about anything.

But the problem for the GOP is that in the must-win swing states like Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Arizona, even if every registered GOP voter shows up at the polls and pulls the red lever, you still need to grab some votes from either registered Democrats or what is referred to as the ‘independent’ voters in order to win.

And here is where pushing the idea that Joe can’t put it together mentally any more is losing steam, because there have just been too many incidents recently in which the so-called presumptive GOP Presidential candidate, a.k.a., Donald Trump, also seems to be getting somewhat soft in the head.
