Where Does Trump Stand on the Issues?

Last week I ran a story about what was the best news of the 2024 campaign to date, which was how a tenant in Trump’s World Tower condo had fallen behind rent and charges to the tune of some two hundred thousand dollars over the last couple of years and was refusing either to pay up or get the hell out.

The tenant happens to be the government of Afghanistan, which has been in the hands of the Taliban since Joe yanked us out of that farshtunkanah country back in 2021. No wonder Trump has been yipping and yapping about this great ‘embarrassment’ over the last three years.

But this week that story has been eclipsed by another one, which ran yesterday in The Wall Street Journal with a headline about how Trump is doing more campaigning to counter the growing strength of the Harris-Walz campaign.

Not only will Trump be more active, according to his campaign advisers and handlers, but he will also shift his narrative to focus more — get this one! — on issues rather than on personal attacks against the other side.

Trump focusing on issues? Are they serious? What planet does Trump’s campaign staff live on?

Actually, to Trump’s credit, there seems to be scant evidence that most voters spend any time at all thinking about issues when they go to vote. A recent survey by Pew indicates that…
