Where’s the ‘Ruinous Inflation?’
Back in 1977, I paid a buck for a gallon of gasoline for the first time. One dollar in 1977 would be worth five bucks and eight cents today. The picture above is what I paid for gasoline today. This same convenience store is selling a case of beer, that’s thirty cans, for $25 and change.
Where’s all this ruinous inflation? What the fuck are they talking about?
Earlier this week I listened to a podcast on Bulwark, which is the digital equivalent of Huffington Post for the alt-right. They run ‘responsible’ stories by ‘respectable’ right-wing folks like Bill Kristol, notwithstanding the fact that it was Kristol who tried to foist that dumb drunk, Sarah Palin, onto the national scene by getting her the second slot with John McCain.
As far as I know, Palin was the only national political candidate since World War II who didn’t have a single child that finished high school. Before World War II, nobody finished high school. And she used to tout herself as being an ‘education candidate.’ Yea, right.
Anyway, back to the Bulwark, whose daily podcast was a group interview with 5 GOP voters who said they would still back Trump.
Why did they want Trump to be President again, even if they have to move the Resolute desk into a cell in Otisville, Butner, or the federal pen in Danbury where Trump can…
