Who Cares What Marjorie Taylor Greene Says?

If like me, you have been wondering what will happen when the new Congress convenes in January and the House is run by the GOP, here’s a preview which may sound like I made it up, but it happens to have occurred.

I’m referring to a speech delivered by Marjorie Taylor Greene gave at a meeting of the Young Republican Club in New York City on Saturday night.

Understand, of course, that to be a Republican in New York City is to be part of a vanishing breed. What else can you say when the best candidate that the GOP could come up with in the 2021 mayoralty election (he got one-third of the vote) was a guy who used to tramp around on the subway as the leader of a so-called citizen’s patrol against crime, then joined the Reform Party in 2016 and led the party to losing its place on the ballot in 2018?

So, if a Republican group wants to bring enough people together who can cover the rent on the meeting hall, they better not only have someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene on the program to liven things up, but she better say something that will be either totally crazy, totally stupid, or both.

Which is what she did, okay?

Not only did she claim that if she and Steve Bannon had been managing the January 6th event, that they would have gotten Trump re-instated as President, but she…
