Who’s Really Fighting in Gaza?
After I wrote and posted my final 2023 story, which is a rant against Alan Dershowitz, I decided it was only fair to give him some of the benefit of the doubt and take a look at what he has to say about the Israel-Hamas war.
So I went to Amazon and bought his little book, War Against the Jews, which is a 214-page defense of Israel’s response to the October 7th assault by Hamas against Israel, although nearly half the little book consists of reprints of various documents which were previously published elsewhere and don’t really reflect what Dershowitz thinks or says.
Basically, Dershowitz claims that the current demonstrations against Israel’s scorched-earth policy in Gaza is nothing more than a revival of the age-old anti-Semitic mentality that has been part of Western culture since Roman times. And according to Dershowitz, who claims to be a lifelong supporter of liberal politics (i.e., the Democratic Party) the current anti-Semitic narrative in the United States is basically a reflection of how the Woke mentality has become mainstream thinking on college campuses and the liberal media as well.
The book concludes with the author’s prediction that the long relationship between the United States and Israel may soon come to an end, largely due to a basic shift in the governing ideology of both countries — Israel moving to the Right and…
