Who’s Voting for Trump?
This morning, I took my everyday walk in Walpole, NH which is a small town on the Connecticut River about 25 miles north of the Massachusetts state line.
Walpole has a population of some 2,500, with most of the town’s residents spread out in the woodlands around the town and somehow earning a living by driving around in small trucks and doing this or doing that, which is typical of the population that lives in the rural parts of New England.
The central town of Walpole, on the other hand, is mostly deserted between Thanksgiving and March, because that’s when most of those residents go down to their condos in Palm Beach. Which is why when you walk down the main street after taking your coffee at the local café where 16 ounces of hot water and a few crushed coffee beans only costs $6.75, right now you’ll see two lawn signs for Trump for every one lawn sign you’ll see for our side.
Except what I saw today were several homes which would easily run a million or more, sporting the lawn sign above. And the moment I saw this kind of sign, I thought back to what the AM shock-joke said the other day to explain why even though the polls had Trump and Kamala in more or less a dead heat, in fact Trump was way ahead.
